Coming Home Series

Coming Home.jpg

After his father left them, Isaac Anderson and his mother moved to a farm in Stoneybrook, North Carolina owned by family friends, the McCormicks. At four years old, Mason McCormick and Isaac became best friends. Over the years, they helped each other with chores and spent most of their free time together.

Mason assumed they would continue to live on the farm after high school and eventually take over when their parents retired, but Isaac had other plans. He dreamed of becoming a journalist and moving to a big city with unlimited stories to cover.

When Isaac shared his feelings, Mason was devastated, and he responded with anger to hide his pain. As a result, Isaac moved to Atlanta, and Mason didn’t hear from him again. Until five years later, when an accident involving Isaac’s mother had him coming home.

Coming Home for Christmas.jpg

The holiday season was always Isaac’s favorite time of year, but it held a bigger place in his heart after marrying Mason. They’d spent numerous Christmases together over the years—more than Isaac could count on one hand—but something about it being their first Christmas married made it all the more meaningful.

And what better way to celebrate than hosting a Christmas event at the farm? Business had been slow, and Stoneybrook didn’t have the same magical feel as it did when Isaac was a kid. He made it his personal mission to turn the farm into a “winter wonderland.” Well, as much as he could in an area that didn’t get much snow.

With the help of Mason and their friend Olivia, he pulled together a Christmas festival, but little did he know, Olivia was coming home for Christmas with more than just presents.

Ash

When Ash Fischer, a young, aspiring hero, joined the Pacific Northwest Heroes Agency, he didn’t expect to be sent into a war. From a young age, he wanted to help people. Yet, war seemed like the opposite of what he had envisioned.

After the war ended, crime rates in Seattle significantly dropped. It was a new era of peace—or so he thought. With little for the heroes to do, their funding was in jeopardy. Ash began to notice some strange things happening around the agency. Missions seemed pointless, almost as if he was being led in circles on purpose.

Ash couldn’t ignore the feeling that something was amiss. Stories weren’t lining up, and he had to get to the bottom of it.

Varian

At age eighteen, Varian Walker enlisted to fight in the war against the LTK Live, a group of extremely dangerous criminals planning to wipe out Seattle so they could use the city to conduct their nefarious operations. Amongst his comrades, he saw some familiar faces—people he graduated with. One person stood out to him the most. Ash Fischer.

As the war came to a close and things began to return to normal, Varian learned something he never should have—something he couldn’t tell anyone. Not even Ash.

However, Ash was a perceptive person, and when he began to grow suspicious, Varian had a difficult decision to make. Lie to Ash and save his life, or tell him the truth about the hero society and risk losing him forever.

Suspicious Murmurs.jpg

Short on money and in desperate need of a job, Liam Wright applied to work as a security guard for the venue near his home. Luckily, his favorite band was playing the night he began working—Suspicious Murmurs

Liam had been a fan of the rock band since their debut album, but he never thought he’d have a chance to see them play live. From the moment Liam first heard his voice, he was drawn to Ace—the drummer, backup vocalist, and primary lyricist for Suspicious Murmurs.

Ace was as captivating as his lyrics, and Liam found it impossible to look away from his performance. Throughout the concert, he repeatedly locked eyes with Ace, but he knew it didn’t mean anything. Ace was scanning the crowd and looking at the audience, not the staff.

Or so he thought. Much to his surprise, Liam left the show with Ace’s drumstick in hand—with his phone number scribbled on the side—and a job offer as the band’s personal security. Little did he know, that drumstick would change his life forever.

During the tour, the past resurfaced. Secrets were revealed, and danger lurked on the horizon. Amidst the turmoil, Liam learned that he and Ace had more in common than he ever imagined.

Fate murmurs in suspicious ways.
